Gala Concert to Celebrate Májovák's 110th Anniversary

We would like to invite you to the gala concert held at the occasion of our orchestra celebrating 110 years of its existence. Májovák is going to perform Óscar Navarro's "II Concerto" for clarinet and symphonic band as Czech premiere. The solo will be played by Ondřej Janča, the orchestra's concertmaster and clarinetist. Works by Thomas Doss, Samuel R. Hazo, Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, Pavel Staněk, Evžen Zámečník and Julius Fučík will be performed under the leadership of Ondřej Packan. The concert will be hosted by Daniela Walová and it will take place on 8th May 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the main hall of the Ostrava House of Culture. Admission free.
